Serious? Unlimited Chiropractic Care for $79/month?

“A good doctor is not cheap. And a cheap doctor may not be good….But a great doctor is fair, affordable, and desires a life-long relationship with those he has been given the privilege to serve.”  Dr. Scott Little

Saying you’ve been to a chiropractor is like saying you’ve eaten in a restaurant, listened to music, or been to church.  There is a  tremendous variety of approaches, styles, objectives, and intents.

It is my opinion that the best approach to chiropractic is one that allows the majority of the public to receive the most benefit from what it has to offer.  That being said, it is also my opinion that public perception of chiropractic has been greatly manipulated by the insurance industry, and in many cases, chiropractic has lost it’s true identity.

Why Insurance Should Never Pay for My Care….

Insurance companies have very specific rules that say that they will ONLY pay for medically-necessary care.  They specifically say that if the intent of care is to a) promote health, b) prevent disease, c) provide treatment for a chronic condition, or (I love this one) d) improve quality of life, that THAT care is medically-unnecessary and should never be submitted for insurance consideration.  Rest assured that my intent is ALWAYS to do at least 3, if not all of those things.

So, between the fact that my care is not considered medically-necessary, AND the fact that most people have a higher copay and deductible than my actual fee, I am essentially severing my ties to the insurance companies and creating a Membership Practice.

What’s a Membership Practice?

When was the last time you went to the gym and paid a fee to workout?  When was the last time you went to Blockbuster and rented a movie?  Most gym’s (like Anytime Fitness) have monthly memberships and allow you to come in any time you want.  Blockbuster no longer exists because you can pay Netflix a monthly fee and get all the movies you want.  Even my mechanic has a membership program that allows his customers to pay a monthly fee for routine maintenance. It’s a very common business model, and the perfect model for my practice.

My Membership Practice….

I believe the best way to use chiropractic is to proactively get checked, and adjusted if necessary, on a weekly basis.  I get checked every week, and I check Karen every week.  I have many patients (practice members) who have come in for years every week, or every other week.  These are some of my favorite practice members because they are easy to adjust, rarely have physical complaints, and share amazing stories about how much better they function and feel under regular chiropractic care.

So, I have created a fee structure similar to gym membership, and I would invite you to join.  My standard office visit fee is still $45, and I still have a plan whereby one can purchase a package of 12 sessions for $450 (20% savings, or 2 visits free).  But what I am most excited about is our unlimited chiropractic care for $79/month for an individual, $129 for couples.  We also have family plans that are created on an individual basis.

Define Unlimited…..

Unlimited is defined as all of the care that I recommend for the practice member for the year.  Typically that will be somewhere between 35 and 50 adjustments per year.  It’s basically weekly care with the understanding that occasionally there will be times when a person needs a few extra sessions due to an injury, or a period of high stress.  There will also be times when a member might not be seen for a few weeks due to his schedule or mine.  The beauty of the membership practice is that the member never has to look at his checkbook to determine if his condition warrants being checked.  It’s already covered.

Someone might say, “What if someone wants to come in every day?”  Well that might be necessary for a few days occasionally, but people don’t want to see me every day, nor do they need to see me every day.  Weekly is great for most people, and certainly, there are times that patients who come in weekly don’t need an adjustment.  They don’t feel gipped, or like they wasted their time.

Unlimited also doesn’t mean that I’m available 24/7/365.  We have set adjusting times that are convenient for all parties.

Aren’t You Devaluing Your Care?

I absolutely place extreme value on chiropractic care.  I think it’s something that is very difficult to put a price tag on.  Personally, I would rather promote health, prevent disease, and improve the quality of life in 5 people at $20 and make $100, than charge $100 and only help 1 person.  At $79/month, I feel like the waitress at my favorite restaurant, or the cashier at the grocery store can afford to reap the benefits of chiropractic care – with or without insurance.

How Do I Get Plugged In?

Call me.  Set up time to come in for a brief consultation, orientation, and adjustment.  Also, go to the front page of my website, and take the Optimal Health Assessment.  It takes a few minutes to fill out, but we will be able to use it to discuss your current level of health, and quality of life, and create a strategy to optimize both.

I am not cheap, but I am affordable, fair, and I want to build a life-long relationship with you and your family.  Fair enough?
