
Kale is one of my top 5 favorite superfoods. Kale chips are my favorite way of eating kale. Kale shakes are my second.
The first time I heard about putting kale in a nutrition shake, I thought it sounded horrible. Then I gave it a shot and now I have a kale shake at least once a day.
In a blender I put:
kale – about a cup; frozen berries; spring water; plain yogurt; a raw egg; and 2-3 packets of stevia for sweetener. I might add a little whipping cream, half of a banana, an apple, some flax oil.
The important thing is to blend it for a good 2 minutes. It’s going to taste good, but you want to make sure all the kale gets chopped up real well – otherwise, it’s a choker.
