One of the most significant issues with weight loss and health restoration is what to do with carbs.
In this session, we give a little overview on the different types of carbohydrates and how many most people can consume and stay in a fat-burning mode.
Many people are consuming 300-600 gm. of carbohydrates every day and are on a certain path to diabetes.
If one follows the food pyramid suggested by the government they are probably consuming 150-300 gm/day. DANGEROUS!
We believe that 25-50 gm can be beneficial to jump-start a weight loss program, but this should be done with some caution and perhaps supervision.
Mark Sisson, author of Primal Blueprint, suggests that the sweet spot for maintaining a fat-burning mode of burning about 1-2 pounds of fat per week to stay in the 50-100 gm/day.
100-150 gm would be appropriate for maintenance.
