Is the Fire Dept. Responsible for Starting Fires?

So, you’re driving down the street and see the fire department on the scene of a house fire.  Then, one day you see the same fire department on the scene of a car fire.  Then one day the guy up the road is burning leaves in his back yard and it gets out of control.  The fire department is on the scene.  In each of these scenarios, there is a fire, and the fire department.

The obvious conclusion is that since the fire department is always on the scene of the fires you’ve seen, they must be the cause of the fires. Make sense?

The fire department is not the problem.  The fire department is the SOLUTION to the problem.

Cholesterol is similar to the fire department.  It isn’t the problem. It’s the solution to the problem.

Eating foods high in cholesterol does not cause cholesterol plaques and high cholesterol.  Cholesterol is an essential component of every cell in the body.

Hormones are important, right?  Hormones are made from protein and cholesterol.

75% of the cholesterol in your body is made by your body.

Cholesterol is the raw material that makes hormones.

Cholesterol covers nerve and brain cells and allow electrical impulses to travel through the nervous system.

Cholesterol is also a healing substance that heals damaged, inflamed, tissues in your body.  This is where cholesterol is like the fire department.  Cholesterol doesn’t just appear on the scene for no reason – just like the fire department doesn’t just show up for no reason.  The cholesterol is found where tissues and arteries are damaged, cracked, and inflamed.  It’s the bandage, the body putty.

The more sugar we eat, the more inflammation, and arterial damage  occurs – therefore, the more cholesterol is produced and found in the arteries.  If you have a city with a lot of fires you need a larger fire department.  The more tissue damage in the body, the more need for cholesterol.  Cholesterol isn’t the enemy any more than the fire department is the enemy.

In my opinion, avoiding cholesterol in the diet is a bad idea.  Avoiding sugar, refined foods, toxins, and other substances which pollute and destroy the body are to be avoided.  But foods like whole eggs, butter, whole milk, and other foods high in cholesterol are part of a healthy life style, not the cause of health problems.

My conclusion:  support your local fire department and show gratitude towards the men and women who put their lives on the line to save your life…..and  take every precaution to prevent fires from occurring in your home.  AND, eat whole foods high in natural cholesterol to supply your body with essential raw materials to make hormones and healthy cell membranes.  Don’t blame the fire department as the cause of fires, just because they are present to put out the fire, and don’t blame cholesterol for causing the tissue damage that your body creates to put out your internal fire.
